The Beginning of an End ..

Today was my last day of High School classes ever ..
I thought I would be a little more emotional about it than I was. It just didn't feel over quite yet, and I guess it won't REALLY be over until exams are finished. I'm going to miss so many people that I've become close with this year, but I know I will meet so many more people along the way.Commencement is when everyone will really get a little teary eyed, it will be a huge milestone in our lives and I can't wait!

Where do I start ..
Prom was THE most BUCKWILD weekend I have EVER experienced. Everyone looked incredible on the red carpet, and the QBCC looked absolutely stunning!

Our theme was, "under the city lights." They had everything done up in black and white with a New York skyline running the perimeter of the room, the Names of major cities were up on the walls too. Outside there was mechanical bull ... which I mastered. First with oe hand ... then with no hands, YAHOO.

There was various other activities such as a bungy run, velcro wall, boxing, palm reading, airbrush tattoos, a casino, and dancing. the best part - Island photobooth.
We had a hypnotist show from 1 - 3 am .. I was hypnotized and we did some pretty weird and wacky stuff. I wish I'd gotten to watch it. At 3 we all packed up and went to the after party ... OH MAN. What a time that was. Dani & I stayed classy with pink champagne. There was lights and music and so many snacks it was unbelieveable. We partied until 7 am and then went for a pancake breakfast - the best. Sleep for three hours, plan a camping trip for that night. It was supposed to take place at some sketchy site called Hammerfest, but that got shut down ASAP by the cops. Luckily a guy volunteered his field. so we roamed with Alpacas and camped and slept 4 to a Hyundai Accent ... Not the most comfortable sleep ever. Dani, Jojo, Kris, and I. I sang Kris to sleep in Italian .. weird. and We volunteered another boys car to house drunken idiots .. he was a little surprised in the AM. and then went to first block biology the next morning after only 2 hours of sleep. Needless to say, it was QUITE the adventure. Prom weekend was unforgettable.

GARAGE SALE TIME

Dani & I have a whole bunch of crap to get rid of. she's moving and I just need to clean out my overstuffed closet. I'm excited, maybe we'll even make a little lemonade stand, a quick buck never hurt my wallet. 

COUNTDOWN TO PROM 002

I love congratulations letters.

Today we found out whether or not we received any scholarships or bursaries ...

I was SO nervous to open my letter. Until I saw the, "Congratulations" written under my name! I won't know what I get or how much it's worth until commencement which is on the 29th.

Tuff Town

This summer, I want to go surfing. it WILL happen. Tofino is the place to go - the beaches are absolutely incredible, the waves are awesome, and the trails are fun. There are so many beaches to choose from too: Mackenzie Beach, Chestermann Beach (my personal favourite), Long Beach, Cox Bay, and Middle Beach.

Undoubtedly one of the most wild and beautiful places on earth.

Next summer .. I will be backpacking around Spain in the blistering heat, sleeping in hostels and eating delicious vendor food in the streets. At night? Pre-drinking cheap bottles of wine (we clearly can't afford 15 euros a drink), and dancing all night. I will be embarking on this crazy adventure with Dani ... I can only imagine how much fun we will have, or how much trouble we'll get into.  Then maybe a quick jump down to Africa to explore the exotic markets in Morocco, and a trip down memory lane to Paris - though the experience will be quite different with just the two of us. I figure it will cost us about 4 or 5 grand in total (guess I better start saving right Dani?). I mean really, what's four thousand dollars for the whirlwind trip of a lifetime. Barcelona, Madrid, Seville, Ibiza (aka party central). They all sound so fabulous .. if Dani and I don't get sick of each other on the stuffy, hot, ridiculously long flight over there I know we will have the time of our lives.

To Spain, where - in the words of Dani,  

The beaches are almost as hot as the men

Recipe for an amazing trip

1 amazing friend to bring along

2 plane tickets round trip

2 train passes 

2 good backpacks

      & a hell of a lot of good memories

Skin Ink

Okay. So I really want a tattoo. I'm thinking this summer is when it's going to happen. Tattoos are so personal that I don't want it in a spot where anyone can see it unless I want them to. I want script on my ribcage. That may sound a little cliche since lots of people have them there .. but I really love them and there's nowhere else on my body I would want it. I have to really look at these and see what means the most to me.

A little piece of sunshine.

 

Well, this is something new.
My Friend Dani decided to start a blog and I checked it out (its really cute! - http://planestrainsandcars.blogspot.com/ ). I liked it so much that I decided to get one going too. It's going to be about all the things I do in the next year or so .. Starting University, The end of Grade Twelve, The best summer of my life coming up (Hopefully!), and all the crazy stuff I do with my friends in the best place on earth - Vancouver Island, B.C. I'll also go over some of the past trips I've been on (South Africa, Barbados, Paris, London .. )

The weathers starting to heat up, beach days are coming fast.
Time for adventure, West coast sunshine & Cinnamon tans!
